The Australian Centre for Health Research is a company limited by guarantee and is regulated by ASIC and Australian corporate law.

It was established by Australian Unity, which also provided initial funding, and other material support.

The Centre has a standard constitution and is run on a not-for-profit basis.

The company has a Research Project Committee and will have a Council comprised of health sector representatives.
