| Our reason for being | |
The Australian Centre for Health Research has been established to do five
things: |
|
| 1 | Initiate and promote intelligent, inclusive public
discussion among all stakeholders on important health issues in Australia. |
| 2 | Identify and fund research into issues and/or projects that can
advance the cause of a better health system and the wellbeing of Australians. |
| 3 | Test and extend research outcomes through various mechanisms such
as workshops and seminars. |
| 4 | Provide a common forum for public discussion in the public
interest that avoid the sectional interests of some existing health and medical
organisations. |
| 5 | Develop programs for desirable reform and present these to key
influencers and government. |
