Neil Batt had a substantial career in politics having been previously Tasmanian Minister for Transport,
Education, Economic Development and Forestry and concluding his political career as Tasmanian Deputy
Premier and Treasurer. In addition he was the National President of the Australian Labor Party. After
leaving politics he has had a substantial involvement in business including; Resident Director for the
major transport company, TNT in both Western Australia and Victoria, Chairman of Airlines of Western
Australia, Chairman of pharmacy company CSL, Chairman of Heine Management Limited a funds management and
property company, and Director of Netwealth, a funds management company. He was also Chairman of the
Interim Advisory Committee of the Mersey hospital. Neil has been active in charitable activities including
being Chairman of the International Diabetes Institute.
