Mr Allan Boston

Allan is currently the Executive Director Melbourne Services & Group Director Funder Relations for St John of God Health Care. This role covers the operation of the Melbourne Hospitals and Community Services together with Business and Service Development in the region. In addition, Allan holds responsibility across the Group for Funder Relationships. Allan is also a Board member of the New Zealand Trust Board responsible for St John of God Health Care services in New Zealand.

Allan was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Calvary Health Care Tasmania overseeing its growth from a single hospital in Hobart to a state-wide service with 4 hospitals and an outpatient rehabilitation service.

Prior to this appointment, Allan has held General Manager/CEO positions in a number of regional private hospital and day surgery centres around Australia.

During his 25 year career in health care, Allan has participated in a range of industry activities including the APHA and the Private Health Industry Quality and Safety Committee. Allan is a surveyor with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
